  • Orchestrating Work - Life Balance

    World Radio Geneva - 18 juin 2001

Interviewed by Rodney Ross, Eva von Rohr, Director, Von Rohr Associates reported on the main findings of the survey jointly conducted by her firm and by Arbora Global Career Partners. While 53% of surveyed managers felt that stress is due to " business as usual " rather than to special circumstances, the solutions offered by corporations to alleviate stress appeared to be related to corporate culture and geography. While pwer-orientated companies offered few flexible working solutions, the more people-oriented ones provided maximum work flexibility and showed low levels of stress. Results-driven companies - among which the Swiss - offer flexibility only to the extent that it does not adversely affect employee performance. • Outplacement remains buoyant in the face of recovery - e-outplacement is in sight

    PME Magazine - February 2001

Invited to comment on e-outplacement, Eva von Rohr, founder of Von Rohr & Associates is of the opinion that certain more "technical" aspects of outplacement can surely be handled on line, yet this requires creativity and imagination. However, the "soft" and more emotional aspects of career transition, such as competency profiling and executive coaching are far too subtle to be delivered over the web. www.pme.ch
